Our History

Ervil and Sheena

In 1974, Ervil Headrick had the vision to begin Headrick’s Parts as way to serve Blount County and East TN. With a wrecker and a dream, his idea quickly took shape. Since that time, Headrick’s has morphed from a local company serving this special mountain community, to a business that includes an ebay store and can deliver late-model (1990 and newer) and ship salvage parts nationally. What is interesting about Headrick’s, though, is the sheer heart behind the story. Join us as we delve deeply into some of the parts that make this company unique, starting with the Headrick family.

Sheena Headrick has nothing but fond memories of her father and the early days of Headrick’s. She grew up with the company, and continues to run it today. Her earliest memories include working with her dad (“Big E”), riding shotgun in his wrecker. In fact, one of her favorite pieces of memorabilia in the shop today is the 1979 Chevy C-10 wrecker they would do rides in. In fact, when Ervil sold that wrecker for more stock, Sheena bought it back. In fact, those childhood memories shaped the woman Sheena would become, and the surrounding community. Her first paycheck was for cleaning radiators. She says, “not fun, but I had money in my pocket.”

In coming installments, we will discover some of the interesting pieces of memorabilia that dot the shop and the yard, hear some stories of interesting finds, and meet some of the people behind the scenes who make Headrick’s the treasure it is.
